Do you ever have those days where everything is just pretty. The way the sky looks, how green the grass seems to be growing, even the brightness of the sun just seems to be just pretty. Today is one of those days and it makes me think back on some great days that I've had the pleasure of photographing.
This time last year my friend asked me to take her family pictures. It was suppose to rain that day so I was hesitant to drive out of my way to do this session but I agreed to give it a shot. The sun was glowing and although it did rain during our time outside, the raindrops looked like golden sparkles falling from the sky. It was a pretty day. Enjoy some images from that session!

Spring Forward
Although it doesn't look like spring outside, the time will spring forward this weekend and I'm looking forward to the change. No, I'm not looking forward to being an hour late to church on Sunday but I am excited to move past winter into greener pastures.
One of those pastures being engagement sessions and spring weddings. There is just something so beautiful about getting married when everything is beginning to bloom. In honor of that excitement I thought I'd post some photographs that I never got around to sharing this past year. Here are a few of my favorite moments. Enjoy!

Owl Prodigy
My project from my advertising class was a complete campaign for Tootsie Pop and I had shown you some basic ideas from the beginning campaign earlier. Well here is our completed project with storyboards, a microsite, a POP, games, online ads, and social media sites. This class has been my favorite class of undergrad and the start of my passion for advertising. From developing ideas to researching the target to the final presentation, I fell in love with the process of putting together a campaign. I hope that I can continue this passion in a career (which I have yet to be hired for but hey that's postgrad life for you!). A huge thank you goes out to my wonderful team who put our presentation together and encouraged my creativity through it all. I truly had the best group!
So, enjoy the ending of my undergrad story and look forward to the new chapter to come!

The End.
As I think about my summer, it would be hard to not think about these kids that I have spent so much time with. I learned how to poured love, encouragement, and sometimes punishment on these kids over the course of the summer but more than that I learned a ton about my God through these kids. They taught me much more than I could have ever imagined at the beginning of this summer. As the Lord slightly nudged (or completely shoved) me to return home for the summer, I didn't quite know why he would want me in Medina, OH. How could such a small town help me to further my life? But after spending a summer with these kids, I see crystal clearly why He wanted me here. Along with an invaluable amount of knowledge I gained from Kate, I learned how childlike faith is something that I needed more of in my life. These kids live their lives with abandonment, fearlessness, and complete love. I've only known them for 7 weeks, but they have shown me so much love. Although at times I've come home exhausted, the most memorable thing about these seven weeks is the way I've seen the Lord through children. Sometimes we have no idea why God does the things that He does, but in the end He always has the best plan, always.
It maybe the end of summer camp, but my summer photography continues! I'm in out of state currently, but be prepared for some photos of the beach coming soon.
