As I think about my summer, it would be hard to not think about these kids that I have spent so much time with. I learned how to poured love, encouragement, and sometimes punishment on these kids over the course of the summer but more than that I learned a ton about my God through these kids. They taught me much more than I could have ever imagined at the beginning of this summer. As the Lord slightly nudged (or completely shoved) me to return home for the summer, I didn't quite know why he would want me in Medina, OH. How could such a small town help me to further my life? But after spending a summer with these kids, I see crystal clearly why He wanted me here. Along with an invaluable amount of knowledge I gained from Kate, I learned how childlike faith is something that I needed more of in my life. These kids live their lives with abandonment, fearlessness, and complete love. I've only known them for 7 weeks, but they have shown me so much love. Although at times I've come home exhausted, the most memorable thing about these seven weeks is the way I've seen the Lord through children. Sometimes we have no idea why God does the things that He does, but in the end He always has the best plan, always.
It maybe the end of summer camp, but my summer photography continues! I'm in out of state currently, but be prepared for some photos of the beach coming soon.

Summer Fun
Games, Ice cream trucks, and reading. Today was filled with lots of summer activities for the campers. We spent most of the day outside, but luckily the kids got to cool off with a stop from the ice cream truck! I'm still experimenting with some different actions in my editing... So they are all editing in a little vintage theme. Enjoy!

One Way
This week at camp we had a lot of craft time. We made small posters that were covered with words that describe our indescribably God. Then we headed to All Fired Up to paint some cross ornaments. You can never have too much art! Here are some photos of what the kids did.

Science Rules!
This week's field trip was to the Great Lakes Science Center! It was so fun to watch the kids explore and discover new things. Here are some images from the day.

A day at the pool
Every week of camp we go to the pool twice and let the kids swim. This time i decided to forgo the swimming and focus on taking photos of the little ones enjoying the cool water. While standing outside of the pool was much hotter than being in the pool with the kids, it did turn out to be a good day for photos! Here are a few of my favorites. There are quite a few of the same models as last time, I can't seem to keep them away from the camera. I'm also experimenting with some new editing! So enjoy.

Start of Summer
This summer I have the joy of work two jobs. One is at a Day Camp for kids in 1st through 5th grade, and the other is interning for a photographer, Kate Oren. It is no coincidence that both of these jobs focus on children and photographing them. I'm learning so much from Kate and practicing all that I learn on the children at summer camp. Here are some photos that I have taken of the kids!

This is 'L', she loved playing in the creek

This precious one is 'V'. One of the sweetest girls I've ever met.

Oh 'J'. This is such a typical face for him.

'S'! She has so much energy.

'N'. He tries to be tough, but on the inside he is so sweet.

Who could miss 'J'. This kid is so so fun (as you can probably tell).
