Memories

This is my first post grad post as an alumna of Ohio University! I told you that my lasts only meant that new firsts were coming. As an alumna it only seems fitting that my first post is a trip down memory lane. Here are some of my favorite memories from OhioU as I took a walk across campus after graduation. Enjoy the view of Athens through my lens.

Owl Prodigy

My last post of work from undergrad at Ohio University! If you asked me fall quarter if I would be writing this today, I probably would have laughed and said that I might be dead by this point. However, I'm here and there is an overwhelming feeling of accomplishment and joy! It is a miracle that I got to this point and am blessed by all of the people who helped me get here.

My project from my advertising class was a complete campaign for Tootsie Pop and I had shown you some basic ideas from the beginning campaign earlier. Well here is our completed project with storyboards, a microsite, a POP, games, online ads, and social media sites. This class has been my favorite class of undergrad and the start of my passion for advertising. From developing ideas to researching the target to the final presentation, I fell in love with the process of putting together a campaign. I hope that I can continue this passion in a career (which I have yet to be hired for but hey that's postgrad life for you!). A huge thank you goes out to my wonderful team who put our presentation together and encouraged my creativity through it all. I truly had the best group!

So, enjoy the ending of my undergrad story and look forward to the new chapter to come!

This or That

It's coming down to the lasts and as sad as that may seem it only means that a bunch of firsts are about to come! My last viscom project (hard to believe i just said that) was a 12 image series of our choice to add to our portfolio.

Since I'm obsessed with advertising and my campaign photography fell through (illustrations to come from that) I decided to do a campaign for Maybelline that compares their tools of the trade with tools from other trades. This campaign targets the makeup artists that treat their makeup as tools for their job. Others may work with power tools but these women, or men, work just as hard with their own set of power tools. I matched similar looking tools to accomplish this with a double page spread that could run in magazines. So to the fashionista workerbees: Which goes in your toolbox?

Enjoy the personalized campaign!

A Day in the Life

I've picked up some random jobs around athens for my last quarter and my latest one was following a reporter and taking photographs of him documenting a story. It was a bit more photojournalistic for my taste but photos are photos. Enjoy my documentation of a documentary!
