Look Ma, A New Logo!

I've been working for the past few months on just the right logo to design for Philanthro Creative. After many sketches, tossed out ideas, failures, edits and procrastinations it's here! Take a look at the new first impression for Philanthro Creative. Enjoy!

Owl Prodigy

My last post of work from undergrad at Ohio University! If you asked me fall quarter if I would be writing this today, I probably would have laughed and said that I might be dead by this point. However, I'm here and there is an overwhelming feeling of accomplishment and joy! It is a miracle that I got to this point and am blessed by all of the people who helped me get here.

My project from my advertising class was a complete campaign for Tootsie Pop and I had shown you some basic ideas from the beginning campaign earlier. Well here is our completed project with storyboards, a microsite, a POP, games, online ads, and social media sites. This class has been my favorite class of undergrad and the start of my passion for advertising. From developing ideas to researching the target to the final presentation, I fell in love with the process of putting together a campaign. I hope that I can continue this passion in a career (which I have yet to be hired for but hey that's postgrad life for you!). A huge thank you goes out to my wonderful team who put our presentation together and encouraged my creativity through it all. I truly had the best group!

So, enjoy the ending of my undergrad story and look forward to the new chapter to come!

What a Hoot

Most people know my love for photography but I also have a second love for illustration! Here is my first illustration post to share with everyone. I'm in an advertising class right now and we are working on a campaign for Tootsie Pop. Our idea is to bring back the old "Mr. Owl" commercials with a new twist. Mr. Owl will be retiring and he needs a replacement. We will have 3 baby owls trying out to be the new face of Tootsie Pop. Here are my original illustrations for this project. I'll be creating scenes for them as well but right now this is what I have. I will be updating them as our campaign progresses! Enjoy a little hoot in your life.

Subtle Scents

Welcome to week 6 of spring quarter at Ohio University. There are 38 days until graduation and 2 photo projects standing between me and that goal. One that isn't standing in the way anymore is this week's assignment! We had to photograph a fragrance ad and I chose to do a still life (surprise, surprise!). My ad was for Estee Lauder's line White Linen. Enjoy the subtle scents from the weeks assignment!

Masterpiece Mugs

The end of week 7 has closed. If anyone else it counting that means that there are 112 days between me and my graduation date.

However, that has nothing to do with this week's assignment which was open ended. Photograph anything that you want. So I decided to use some good old window light and white mugs. I thought they had quite a painterly quality to them and I wanted to experiment with using black cards to shield the window light. Here is what resulted, my masterpiece (well maybe not exactly a masterpiece but I did finish the assignment). Enjoy.
